Barclays Premier Predictions

3/24/2022by admin

Today I am going to predict some of the individual honours that could be won at the end of the season as in my previous posts all of the predictions are my own and these are my opinions.

PremierPredictions

First of all I am going to make my prediction that Thibaut Courtois will be the best keeper in the Premier League this season. He is undoubtedly a talented goalkeeper but I think the fact that he has not been spoken about much this off-season can only be to his benefit. While his rival keepers have had issues. David De Gea I think will have been put off by the uncertainty of which team he will be playing for this season. While Tottenham shot-stopper Hugo Lloris has suffered a broken wrist in pre-season so he will have missed vital game and training time in the pre-season and they are not sure if he will even be ready on August 8th. To summarise I think Thibaut Courtois will be the stand-out goalkeeper this season.

Secondly I am going to predict that Gerard Deulofeu will have an impressive season at the start of his 2nd spell at Everton, I think his mixture of speed, skill and technical ability will be a trouble to even some of the best defences this season. The fact he could be overlooked by opponents as they fear the strength and power of Romelu Lukaku could also be a factor in him having a great season.

Cesc Fabregas will be the top the assist table again. I think that his ability to find a decisive pass and the fact that he has some world class finishers around him such as Diego Costa and Eden Hazard can only help him. If you look at the other world class midfielders in the league they don’t have a 20 goal a season and a 15 goal a season player to finish the chances off, or they just don’t have the same amount of talent as Cesc. For me the only thing that could possibly jeopardise this prediction is if he get injured because he ain’t a spring chicken no more.

Even though Diego Costa has Fabregas feeding him I don’t think he will win the golden boot this season. That accolade will go to Sergio Aguero. His movement, pace and finishing skills will be just enough for him to win the golden boot. He also has good players around him who will definitely accumulate a few assists between them. Harry Kane will come close but he doesn’t have similar quality around him as Aguero. It also wouldn’t surprise me either if we had someone from absolutely nowhere win the golden boot someone like Newcastle’s new signing Aleksander Mitrovic.

Finally I think the manager of the year award will go to Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace. There are a lot of good managers in this league but for some reason I think Pardew will be the best. If he manages to refrain from head-butting opposing players I think a lot of people will be singing his praises next season. The signing of Yohan Cabaye will only help his cause, when the two were together at St. James Park they worked well together and formed part of a formidable outfit.
